The Chancel Choir
On Sunday, September 13, 2009 Council Vice President Marcia Mc Millin announced that Briana Sprague has been selected to be our new Music Director.
Briana, who has served Luther Memorial for seven and a half years in various roles, will conduct the Chancel and Bell Choirs, coordinate music for our 9 a.m. service, and continue to lead our Celebration Band.
Briana graduated from North Park University in 2004 with a Bachelor's in Music Education. She grew up performing and competing all over the US with voice and oboe, and began conducting instrumental ensembles at age 15. Briana assisted in conducting several vocal ensembles at North Park, and founded and directed the NPU Vocal Jazz Ensemble. She has taught music in public and private schools in different parts of Chicago for four years, and is currently the Managing Director of the Huntington Learning Center in Skokie.
Handbell choir
Novice and gifted handbell experts rehearse weekly or for special performances at worship. Contact Briana Sprague (in care of the church office) for more information.
Choir and Bell Choir Rehearsals, Fall 2009
From Briana: "I am planning to have handbell rehearsals on Tuesday evenings from 6:45-7:45 and choir rehearsals Tuesday evenings from 7:45-9:00. Both will take place in the beginners room as the sanctuary will be in use." Please note this schedule will begin Tuesday, Sept. 29th.

This band plays for CELEBRATION! Service each Sunday at 11 a.m.

together! The band enjoys serving you and serving God with our music.
We know that many of you would like to become more familiar with
the songs we play, and I know that I’d love to hear you all singing your
hearts out! If you want to get to know some of the music we use, you

you’ll be fully prepared to “rock out” with us on Sunday mornings at 11 !!
LMC messengers
This drama group performs skits and makes special presentations throughout the year.
Recorders Ensemble

Watch for updates about special visits by the Lakeside Pride Clarinet, Brass, Jazz and Women's Ensembles, the Cantate Chicago, the Chicago Children's Choir, and other talented Chicago Ensembles.
