Join us this Holy Week at Luther Memorial:
Palm Sunday-10 am - March 28th
Come parade with the saints at Luther Memorial with our eco-palms! This will be a combined service with much singing and the moving "stripping of the altar" at the conclusion of the service.
Maundy Thursday-Noon (spoken), 7pm Meal Thurs., Apr 1
At 7:00pm we will gather in the basement of Luther to celebrate the Last Supper in much the same manner that Jesus would have celebrated it with his friends. This service is a favorite at Luther, and will prove to be quite meaningful.
Good Friday-Noon (spoken), 7pm Passion Reading Fri., Apr 2
At 7:00pm we will gather in the bare sanctuary to hear the Passion story told by four dramatic readers. The large wooden cross will be processed, and congregation members will have an opportunity to pray and meditate on the mystery of our salvation. This service will include darkness, beautiful choral music, and a moving reading of the greatest story ever told.
Way of the Cross- 7:30 p.m. - 'til it's done. Fri., Apr 2
"Embers" Come experience the setting in Jerusalem after Jesus was crucified. Christian-Jews are panicked, there is no safe space, and the disciples are beside themselves. Come and listen to Peter, talk to Judas, and see first hand the atmosphere after Golgatha! (Read more.)
Easter Egg Dying/Hunt-10:30am-12:30 Sat., Apr 3
Join the Luther Memorial members in dying Easter eggs and finding surprises! Bring a dye kit and hardboiled eggs to make with your family; we'll hide the rest of the eggs for them to find! This is fun for all ages so bring a snack to share.
The Great Vigil of Easter-7:00pm Sat., Apr 3
This is the most ancient service in the Christian calendar. A service of light and darkness, of hope and patience, of cross and baptism. Come for the great bonfire as we await the empty tomb. This service is one not to be missed!
Champagne Feast-9:00pm Sat., Apr 3
After the Great Vigil of Easter, stay for the champagne reception that will happen in our new "Welcoming Space" at the back of the sanctuary. Hosted by Pastor Tim, this reception will include desserts and sparkling wine/cider. Bring a dessert to share!
Easter Sunday-9:00am and 11:00am Sun., Apr 4
Trumpets, familiar hymns, and banners mark this highest feast day of the church year. Both services will be identical, each with a children's message and choral music.

A continental breakfast will be served between services at 10:00 am, with all procedes going toward the Luther Memorial Youth Fund. This is the greatest Sunday of the year.
