Rally Day is coming! Sunday, September 12th we will have one service at 10 am to kick off our 113th Sunday School year.
Get your face painted or just hang out with your Luther Memorial friends! All are welcome!
Lunch with Pastor Tim ...will be held on Thursday, September 2nd, Noon. All are invited to participate. Please bring a sack lunch, refreshments will be provided. Last Fridays. . . is a Church-sponsored supervised playgroup for member families, held the last Friday of every month. By taking part in Last Fridays, you are agreeing to take a turn once or twice a year as the volunteer parent. Every month, volunteer parents will supervise your children for a few hours. Dinner is provided. * The cost is $3 per child for 1-2 children; $2 per child for 3 or more. The new contacts are Sean & Sonya Benham or the LMC office. Our thanks to Jenny Mohler for all you have done to help with Last Fridays and to Sean & Sonja for taking over. You can also look for sign-up sheets in the nursery and at the back of the sanctuary for the next Last Fridays being held. ***Space is limited to 20 children*** Food for the Poor Sunday! On September 19, Luther Memorial has invited Pastor Churck Robertson to come and preach for Food for the Poor Sunday. Food for the Poor is an organization that collects mission funds specifically for relief in Latin America and the Caribbean. Rev. Robertson comes to us from the Florida-Bahamas Synod and was formerly a missionary in Peru. Manor Garden Club Meeting Monday September 20th at 7:30pm - LaManda Joy, author of The Yarden blog is scheduled to present the history of Victory Gardens and will discuss the new Peterson Garden Project. All are invited to attend the meeting in the Beginner's Room at 7:30pm followed by the presentation at 8:00pm. You can read more about LaManda Joy at www.theYarden.com. Golf outing for Luther North Luther High School North is hosting its 14th annual golf classic October 3rd at Deerfield Golf Club. This outing helps raise funds to support the athletic department, and is also a great fellowship opportunity. If you are interested in golfing, or would like to support the golf outing with your donation please contact David Grim at the Luther North website at goluther.org for more information.
